A few days after Thanksgiving,
we set out from Ohio on an overnight kamikaze drive out
West. The goal was to be back in Charlotte by
Christmas. This was Izzie's first big road trip!!

On September 29th, 2007 we
flew from New Bern, NC into George Town, on the island of
Great Exuma in the Bahamas, and met up with Capt. Mark on Stray Cat. From there,
sailed South to Great Inagua, then through the Windward
Passage between Haiti and Cuba to Jamaica. Then on to
Panama....

After nearly five
months in the boatyard preparing, we splashed down and set sail
for the islands of the Bahamas. We left Beaufort, NC in
mid-January, heading South. Several offshore passages, a few
days on the Intra-Coastal Waterway, and an overnight Gulf Stream
Crossing put us in the beautiful nation of islands, The Bahamas.
